From the initial interview, Sascha was very understanding and showed her compassion. The first scans confirmed the tumour and indicated developing unknown tumours. Sascha suggested a treatment to shrink these and gave it 3 weeks to work. On return to her, she decided it was not working and that she’d have to operate. Things went quickly with no delays and her feedback to us after the operation she pointed out that there was a further tumour and arranged oncologist to see me. From there I was put on a treatment of chemo where there was often difficulty in attaching the canola. This was improved by soaking my hand in warm water. This is to be noted that some nurses were more experienced than others but all very helpful. From the start, Sascha was very keen to involve all my family in my treatment. Including my husband who was at every radiotherapy/ chemo session. Sascha was very caring in a professional and friendly way. I found this put me at ease. Since completion of radiotherapy, I have been taking daily tablets and will be a while still. My husband says I have lost some of my confidence and memory I find this difficult to overcome. GP has seen me regularly and says this down to the chemo- but I am now 2 years older so this may not be linked at all! I am now looking forward to my euro star holiday in June on the Seine and my august holiday to Devon with my children and grandchildren. We would like to thank all the NHS staff, especially Sascha for my opportunity to live my life again.

Miss Sascha Dua is the best caring ,thoughtful ,kind and understanding doctor and surgeon I have ever encountered. She always keeps you informed and is always there for me and my husband giving total confidence in her professional ability She contributed enormously in helping both of us get through a very stressful time. I would definitely recommend her to any future patients Miss Dua is a credit to her profession and the NHS. We both hope she remains at Broomfield for a very long time to come so that others will have access to the treatment we have both had in a clinical and compassionate way Isabel & Jim Mc Gregor

I have been treated by Miss Dua for breast cancer and she carried out a successful wide local excision. I like her straightforward approach when she first gave me the bad news following my biopsy and she was very helpful in explaining to me and my husband what would happen during the operation. On the day of the operation Miss Dua again took care to explain what would happen prior to the operation and subsequently visited me twice in the ward. The reason for 4 stars in 'listening' is that the the follow-up apppintment was very rushed today because she was running behind and although it was good news I wasn't given the opportunity to ask all the questions I wanted to about radiotherapy treatment.

Sascha performed a reduction on my right breast, due to me losing my left through Cancer, when in hospital she visited me twice to make sure all was ok, one being when she was off duty and at the expense of her family. The op. was a total success, she did a nipple transplant which again was successful, I have since seen her in clinic, she has always been very friendly and always professional, she makes you feel important, as if you are the only one affected by this terrible disease. She said in the beginning that she wanted me to have my life back as it was before, only better, she has certainly achieved that, after her consultations I feel that I can now get on with my life. I think myself very lucky to have Sascha as my Doctor. I can't thank her enough. I would like to add that during my journey, from January 2013, I have had 3 ops. chemotherapy, and numerous consultations and everyone at Broomfield Hospital has been great, from the Breast Unit,to the Wards, to the Chemo Unit., it has all been made so much easier to deal with because of Broomfield Hospital, I think myself extremely lucky to have been sent there. In ending I would like to add what an asset to Broomfield Hospital Sascha is, please look after her, she is worth her weight in gold.
